IMDB Blurb: A committed dancer wins the lead role in a production of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" only to find herself struggling to maintain her sanity.
Archived from t2t: "Since there was a trailer 4 Mother! during AHS, it got me wondering whether we had a thread 4 this & since we apparently DON'T. (even tho I coulda SWORE we did, unless it was trashed becuz it was made by some1...less than desirable...) I decided I might as well get that shit going since it's the only film I've ever seen by Aronofsky. It took some time 2 grow on me cuz the initial hype was annoying as shit & I still believe it's a thriller more so than a horror (like, yes, it's a psychological thriller, but cuz u add "psychological" in front of it don't make it a horror, sweaty!!!), which I think I will continue 2 view it as, but, the last time I watched several yrs ago, it FINALLY won me over, so @ least there's that. Will probz be doing a double ft. day w/ Mother! if I come across a review worth trusting & if I decide it's worth going 2 the theater 2 c (but, I mean, I probz will, anyway, I went 2 c It Comes At Night & The Beguiled, after all). So maybe I'll get 2 express my redefined feelings on it better when that time comes. "
